New VAIO W Added to Sony Style Signature Collection

In the spirit of the holidays, Sony Style released a new member to the limited edition Winter Signature Collection. The Holiday Sparkle W Series VAIO notebook.
Limited in quantity, this unique design was inspired by one of Mother Nature's most infamous displays of beauty: snowflakes. Because of changing temperatures and atmospheres, each natural snowflake is one of a kind. As you can see in the case design, Sony designers were greatly influenced by this concept…or can you see it?
What's just thrilling about this case is that the designers created an optical illusion with the casing. Depending on the angle you're viewing the case; it will display a different snowflake look.
Same notebook, different angles:
To create this eye trick, silk printing was used. We use silk printing technology to actually print our logo on our VAIO notebooks. In this particular instance however, the designers needed to apply three separate layers of silk printing, each with a unique color, light and shade. By applying 3 different layers, they were able to create patterns that present different perspectives to the eye at different angles. What might appear as an ordinary white case to some transforms to subtle pattern enhancements to others willing to take a closer look.
