To celebrate the official release of Windows® 7 and our new line of VAIO PCs, Sony Style will be hosting interactive events at select locations which includes a chance to win a new Sony VAIO L Series Touch All-in-one PC (a $1,300 value).
The festivities kick off this Saturday, October 24th at three Sony Style stores: Aventura Mall (Miami, FL), Sony Plaza (New York, NY) and Fashion Valley (San Diego, CA) stores. From 10am-6pm local time, you can drop by one of these locations to meet our chic VAIO PC models and talk one-on-one with folks about all the new features included on the new Windows 7 operating system. You'll also be able to test drive Windows 7 (on our new VAIO L Series Touch computer) as well as register for a chance to win a Sony VAIO L Series computer. Two VAIO L's will be given away at these locations on Saturday. In addition to our Sony Style team, the Sony Electronics & VAIO Community teams will be on hand at the Fashion Valley (San Diego) location Saturday tweeting & capturing the fun. To help partake in the celebration that day, all Sony Style (in-store only) locations will be offering a special sale price on the VAIO CW Series notebook at $777.77* - Our homage to Windows 7.
But I hear ya. In looking at the "weekend things to do" list it can get hard to squeeze in time between washing the car, taking the dog to the groomers, doing laundry, getting that long overdue wedding gift, and finally getting to the dishes piling up in the sink.
In case you miss the special events at these stores a you won't miss out on a chance to win at other Sony Style Store locations. If you visit our other Sony Style store locations between October 24th and Halloween (October 31st), a VAIO L Series desktop computer with Windows 7 will be on display. Go ahead and test drive the new Windows 7 operating system and then register to win. Winners will be announced on or around 11/9. You can also speak to our Backstage representatives at the store or via appointment who can help answer your Windows 7 questions - from upgrading your existing operating system to purchasing a computer with Windows 7 pre-installed.

ENTRY PERIOD: Giveaway begins on 10/24/09 and ends on 10/31/09 for each participating Sony Style Retail Store, with the exception of the following Sony Style Retail Stores, where the giveaway will only take place on 10/24/09: (i) Sony Plaza, 550 Madison Avenue, NY, NY; (ii) Fashion Valley, 7007 Friars Road, San Diego, CA; and (iii) Aventura Mall, 19501 Biscayne Blvd., Aventura, FL (each, an "Entry Period"). The giveaway will be divided into forty-four drawings, one (1) for each participating store.
TO ENTER: During the applicable Entry Period, visit a participating Sony Style Retail Store location and learn about Microsoft 7 by participating in a presentation or viewing the program on a computer and then complete the entry form, available while supplies last, and deposit it in the designated entry box. You may only enter on 10/24/09 in stores (i), (ii) and (ii) listed above. All in-store entries must be received by close of business on 10/24/09 in stores (i) (ii) and (iii) listed above and by close of business on 10/31/09 in all other participating stores to be eligible for the applicable drawing(s). You may also enter without participating in a presentation or viewing the program on a computer by completing an entry form, available while supplies last, and depositing it in the designated entry box. For a list of participating Sony Style Retail Store locations, visit www.sonystyle.com. Limit one (1) entry per person and per household. Entries received from any person or household in excess of the stated limitation will be void. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means and entries by any means which subvert the entry process are void. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
DRAWING: One (1) potential winner will be selected by independent judging agency in a random drawing held on or about 11/9/09 from all eligible entries received for the applicable store drawing with the exception of each drawings for stores (i), (ii) and (iii), where two (2) potential winners will be selected by an independent judging agency from all eligible entries received for each store drawing. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for the applicable drawing. Nonwinning entries from one store drawing will not carry over into any other store drawing. Limit one (1) prize per person and per household.
WINNER NOTIFICATION: Potential winners will be notified by express mail and/or phone, and will be required to execute and return a W-9 Form and an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and, where lawful, a publicity release within fourteen (14) days of date of issuance. If such documents are not returned within the specified time period, a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, Sponsor is unable to contact a potential winner or a potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsor's discretion, an alternate winner selected. If a potential winner is an eligible minor in his/her jurisdiction of residence, prize may be awarded in the name of his/her parent or legal guardian who will be responsible for fulfilling all requirements imposed on winners set forth herein.
PRIZES: (One (1) Grand Prize, per store, with the exception of stores (i), (ii) and (iii) (which are listed in the section titled "Entry Period"), where two (2) Grand Prizes are available to be awarded for each store): A Sony® VAIO® Touchscreen PC (model #: VPCL111FX/B). Approximate Retail Value ("ARV"): $1,299.99 each. Total ARV for each store (except stores (i), (ii) and (iii)) is $1,299.99. Total ARV for stores (i), (ii) and (iii) is: $2,599.98. Prizes are awarded "as is" with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor. Winners may not substitute, assign or transfer prize or redeem prize for cash, but Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize with one of comparable or greater value. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided. All prize details are at Sponsor's sole discretion.
PRIZE CLAIM: Prize must be picked up by the confirmed winner, at the Sony Style Retail Store where the winner's entry was randomly drawn by 12/31/09, or prize will be forfeited and Sponsor will have no further obligation to such winner. A prize claim letter will be sent to the confirmed winner stating the store location to pick up the prize when the prize is available. If any winner resides outside a 50-mile radius of the Sony Style Retail Store where he/she entered, then the prize will be shipped to such winner and he/she will not be required to pick it up.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, stolen, misdirected, undelivered, or illegible entries, or for lost or stolen entry boxes; or for other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the giveaway, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the giveaway, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prizes or in any giveaway-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the giveaway. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the giveaway or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and all associated entries will be void. Should any portion of the giveaway be, in Sponsor's sole opinion, compromised by non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, or should giveaway be unable to run as planned for any other reason,Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the giveaway and, if terminated, at its discretion, select the potential winner(s) for the drawing(s) at issue from all eligible, non-suspect entries received for the applicable drawing(s) prior to action taken or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. Entrants, by participating, agree that Sponsor and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and advertising and promotion agencies and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, "Released Parties") will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in this giveaway. Each winner, by acceptance of prize, except where legally prohibited, grants permission for Sponsor and its designees to use his/her name, address (city and state), photograph, voice and/or other likeness and prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without further compensation, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide in perpetuity, without notice or review or approval. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE GIVEAWAY IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR WILL DISQUALIFY ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL AND RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS' FEES) AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
