Hi, I also love the new Vaio X. Can you tell me a couple of things please. Does it have an HDMI outlet, and can any part of the system be upgraded or changed? I've done my best to review the site, but I am just not sure. Thanks, Gina

Hi Guest, first off it sounds like you're a true jet setter! Jealous. But on a more serious note, I am sorry you've run into so many hurdles in buying an X. Although our cart only accepts US based credit cards, based on customer feedback like yours, we launched an ability to use Pay Pal to purchase so hopefully this will help. In terms of the specific X you were looking for, I know on the site we'll be getting some X models back in store in the next 2 week. As far as Madison Ave store, we sent some VAIO X's that way (both Signature and nonSignature) so hoping you had a chance to get there over the weekend. If not, I'm thinking there may still be some there. Let me know if you run into more problems & thanks for being so patient with us. I am excited for you and your new VAIO X. - Gina (Blog Editor)

Hi Gina, To buy a VAIO is very difficult. Sony doesn't make things easy for the costumer. I'm a Brazilian and I live in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Yes, there is a Sony Store in Sao Paulo. But the last time I could visit the site (it is always under construction, indefinitely…) I was surprised that the price of the little X Laptop was as high R$ 10,000.00, more or less US$ 5,500.00. It is too much for a laptop, even for a good VAIO. I went to Paris, where I have an apartment. There is a Sony Style on Avenue George V, only 100 meters far from my apartment. In There I could find a VAIO X series, but it costs € 1,500.00, more or less US$ 2,250.00. Very expensive, but I was decided to buy it anyway. But the keyboard in France is the AZERTY keyboard, very difficult to work for me. The Sony Style in Paris doesn't change the keyboard and they also don't import a VAIO with a QWERTY keyboard from London or USA. I had to give up. Because I'm going to be in New York on next December, from 1st to 6th December, I decided to buy directly from Sony Style a VAIO X series laptop. It costs only US$ 1,300.00, much cheaper than in Brazil and France. But things are not so easy. First, trying to buy on line I discovered that I could not do it, because my choices were all "Out of stock". Frustrating. Second, I called 1-877-865-7669 (an international call because I'm in France, and I had to pay for it) to talk to a person, explain everything and finally get my VAIO. Well, I was told that Sony only accepts credit cards issued in America and my credit card, my American Express Credit Card was issued in Brazil. It is an AMEX accepted all over the world, but Sony doesn't accept it. I was surprised. Third, I was informed that Sony could not guarantee that I would have my VAIO X series with me by December 6th. That was yesterday, November 20th. Well, I'm going to be in New York and I'm going to visit Sony Style in Madison Avenue. My first choice is to buy a VAIO from Sony. Let's see if Sony Style has anything to show me in Madison Avenue. If I can't find anything to buy, my second choice is buy an Apple. Best Regards,

Gina, I fell in love with the specifications (thinnest form factor and long battery life) and ordered a Signature Collection model (X115) online on Nov 14. At that time, it was supposed to ship on Monday, Nov 16. However, as of today, Nov 19, it is still not shipped. I am getting anxious. Do you know of any issue with the delivery of Vaio X series? Eagerly awaiting!!
